Can pediatric and neonatal patients use this patient monitor?

Yes, it's applicable for adult, pediatric, and neonatal usage. However, there are some considerations and modifications that may need to be taken into account when using patient monitors for pediatric and neonatal patients. Infants and newborns have different physiological characteristics and requirements compared to adults, so the monitor settings and alarms may need to be adjusted accordingly.
Before starting a measurement, verify that you have selected a setting appropriate for your patient (adult, pediatric or neonate). Additionally, choose the appropriate NIBP cuff and SpO2 finger probe for pediatric and neonatal patients. What is ETCO2 sensor?

The high-precision infrared end-tidal CO2 module is designed based on the principle of infrared absorption spectroscopy to measure the CO2 concentration in exhaled air.

What does the EtCO2 module include?

The EtCO2 module including etco2 water filter*5, bracket * 1, sampling tube * 1, adult nasal tube *3, T-shaped 3-way connector * 1

Can I purchase the standard version of the patient monitor and buy the EtCO2 module from another store?

No. We're sorry that the 8-inch patient monitor can only be compatible with our EtCO2 module because of the different protocols.

It's recommended to purchase the additional EtCO2 module from our store:

How often should I replace the EtCO2 water filter?

It is recommended to replace the filter every 3 months.

What is the operation principles of End Tidal CO2 Detector?

It is mainly based on that CO2 can absorb infrared rays with a wavelength of 4.26um, and the attenuation of infrared rays is proportional to the concentration of CO2.

How to clean and maintain EtCO2 sensor?

Do not autoclave and do not immerse the sensor in liquid.

What does it mean when ETCO2 is high?

Normal EtCO2 levels range from 30s and 40s, but this may vary based on the patient's underlying respiratory and metabolic status. 3. EtCO2 levels that rise from a normal baseline to or above 50 may indicate hypoventilation is occurring.

What does it mean when ETCO2 is low?

A low end-tidal CO2 may indicate poor perfusion, hypovolemia, or sepsis. On the other hand, a high CO2 reading may indicate airway narrowing, airway obstruction, or respiratory distress. It can also help the healthcare provider determine if the patient is being ventilated adequately.
