How does BabyO2 work?

The Sock Electronics use pulse oximetry to gather your baby's heart rate and oxygen levels. The electronics send your baby's heart rate and oxygen levels to your smartphone. 

Does Wellue BabyO2 guarantee the safety of my baby?

No, The Wellue BabyO2 Oxygen Monitor is NOT a medical device and is not intended for use as a medical device or replace a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, alleviate or prevent any disease or health condition or investigate, replace or modify any physiological process. You are responsible for the health and wellbeing of your baby and following safe sleep, health, and care guidelines. 

Can my child use the BabyO2?

Is WiFi required?

NO, the BabyO2 connect via Bluetooth low energy with your phone.

Is the BabyO2 sock and band washable?

Yes, the fabric sock and monitor band should be hand washed regularly using a mild detergent. Make sure to remove the Sock Electronics prior to washing.We recommend washing the fabric sock once per week or as needed. This will help keep the product performing as intended and reduce the potential for skin irritation. Baby's feet can sweat at night and bacteria loves to grow in warm, moist environments and regular washing will keep your little one's feet happy and healthy! Kindly note the sock and band should be replaced after 50 times.

Will the BabyO2 have any negative long-term effects?

The BabyO2 use pulse oximetry technology to detect oxygen levels and pulse rate. Pulse oximetry clinically proven and no long-term effects have been found. If used as advised, it should not cause any harm to your baby.

What does the PI mean?

Perfusion index (PI) is an indication of the pulse strength at the sensor site. The PI varies depending on individuals, physiological conditions, skin temperature and sense sites.PI is also a good indicator of the reliability of the pulse oximeter reading. Higher the PI, better the performance. Green indicates an acceptable range and yellow/red indicates a poor pulse signal.Methods to get a higher PI:- Improper wearing will cause poor Perfusion. Please make sure to wear the device according to the instructions.- Cold tissues will also cause poor Perfusion, especially in winter. Warm subject's tissues or move to a warm room in this case.

Can my spouse and I both monitor our child via our smartphones?

Sadly, it can only connect with one phone at one time.

Why I cannot pair the Bluetooth successfully?

Make sure not connect the BabyO2 directly from the Setting->Bluetooth.

1) Enable your phone Bluetooth. 

2) Then run the ViHealth app and follow the guide in the app to proceed. 

Why do I need to allow Location access for Android?

The android system asks for Location access to let the Bluetooth work. Please don't worry, we DO NOT collect your location data.

Do I need to power off the monitor manually?

Usually no need. If you don’t use it, it will power off automatically in a while.

If the battery runs out during use, will the data be saved?

Yes. The built-in memory is four sessions.

Can I change the settings of audio alarm?

Yes.When you connect the monitor to your phone/pad, you can turn on/off the sound, change intensity or threshold.

How long will the pulse oximeter last?

The pulse oximeter is guaranteed under warranty for one (1) year.

What if I don't have a smartphone?

You can use any other Apple device as well! That means you can use an iPhone or iPad that supports iOS 9.0 or later.

How much does PC software cost?

The PC software is totally free, you can save or print unlimited sleep reports, and share with your doctor.

Do I need to connect device to phone app during sleep?

Yes, and your phone screen should not be turned off, otherwise you will not receive the audio alert when the BabyO2 finds something wrong.

What if the baby oxygen monitor falls off?

You will be notified if the monitor is not getting valid readings and if the sock has fallen off. 

Does insurance cover this?

The BabyO2 is not covered by insurance, you can use the Paypal or Debit/Credit card.
